At Thy Lotus Feet
My life is not this gift, this treasure
Of beautiful experiences I gathered with pleasure.
The sages of the Himalayas were the source
And also thee, my dear Master of course.
One lonely evening it seemed to me
A ray of light allowed me to see
Transcending past a misty screen,
I wondered what it might mean.
The same eve thou gavest of thine
To me a glimpse of the love divine.
Then uttered from thy lips I heard his name,
Since then my life's not been the same.
Deep in my heart the eternal flame was lit
Burning constantly as it on the altar does sit.
Who has mingled the strains of joy and sorrow somehow
Into the song of my life like thou.
Enabling me to realize and know
The joy that from eternity does flow.
A joy that endures through all pains
Yet claims nothing after many gains.
To those who understand the message and its worth,
For them there shall be no fear left on the earth.
Therefore today with undying gratitude complete,
This flower offers its petals at thy lotus feet.
